Why do you think it is so important to have no other gods (lower case “g”) in your life? Take a few minutes today to think about that. What do you believe about that question? What do you place as a god in your life? 

I know that for me, God deserves to be revered above all because He is our creator and our Savior. He cares for us, and listens to us and our pains, even when we are angry with Him. I believe that He is deserving of all of my devotion because He is King of my life.

I know that I set up idols in my life – things like sweets, anime, and all of the stuff I own. But God calls us to have nothing in our lives more important than Him. How can you shift your focus from your idols to the God who deserves all of your affection?
