Read Joel 2.
12”Even now’, declares the Lord, ‘return to Me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning.’”
18”Then the Lord was jealous for His land and took pity on His people.”
I believe that this is the story of the Bible and of salvation. There is no other God, and He will not tolerate us straying from Him. But when we turn to Him, and when we choose to seek after Him and praise Him above all else, God offers us salvation and freedom from ourselves and our own destruction.
We do not have to be afraid, because the Lord has done great things (vs. 21). He promises us salvation, wonders, deliverance, and His Spirit. We do not need to be afraid of anything in this life, because He is with us.
What fears do you need to give to Him?
