Gift of God Devotional

Read Amos chapter 3.

2”You only have I chosen of all the families of the earth; therefore I will punish you for all your sins.”

Israel – God’s chosen people – is held to a higher standard than the rest of the world. Today, that’s us. We are God’s chosen people as Christians. We are told that we will be held accountable for our every deed (2 Corinthians 5:10). 

How would you hold up under scrutiny? If your life was played as a movie, would you be a model Christian, even in secret?

Make that your goal, each and every day – choose to live a life that you would be proud to proclaim it is pleasing to God, but also humble enough to admit your shortcomings.
